
First you need to ascertain what you want to achieve. Ask yourself questions - What do I love doing? What do I feel extremely qualified to teach others? What do others gain as a result?
Secondly, when confronted with a decision ask yourself the Richard Branson questions "What the worst case scenario? If it happened could I handle it?" If the answer is yes I could handle it and it's leading you closer to your WHY / PURPOSE it's a no brainer. Courage comes through taking action it doesn't just turn up in the mail or your inbox one day. When you start to feel anxious / sick in the stomach why not focus on appreciation to learn & grow rather than fear. It's proven that once you focus on appreciation the brain cannot focus on fear at the same time so the fear simply fades away. The reason you get the feelings of anxiety are most likely because the task is unfamiliar.
When I set my business up in 2012 I was asked do you run retreats? I had always wanted to run retreats as it was my passion spending time with like-minded people that were fascinated in achieving their goals and bringing more spirituality to their lives. So, I said yes & worked out the how later. And, yes I felt anxious, nervous & sick in the stomach but I said yes as it was leading me closer to my WHY. Now I run retreats throughout Victoria & Bali doing what I love and spending time with like-minded women.
Next time when you're confronted with these feelings when making a decision I challenge you to focus on appreciation - what you will learn and how you will grow rather than focusing on the fear?
